In all the weddings that we’ve had the privilege to photograph, the one thing that stands out is how each couple is unique. Sure, they’re getting married — sure, they have a cake, bouquet toss, etc., but what stands out are those very qualities that make each pair special.
In the case of Christine and Tony, clearly, it was their sense of adventure — especially, sharing that adventure together. And so, even though they live in the San Francisco Bay Area, they had their wedding at a location that was special to them — Lake Tahoe.
They stayed at south Lake Tahoe’s Zephyr Cove Resort, the site for their reception — and truly a wonderful location only a few steps away from the lake itself.
We went up the evening before, checked into our cabin, and the next morning awoke to a beautiful view of the lake — we could not have asked for a better day.
After Christine and Tony got ready, their wedding party joined us for portraits before the ceremony at St. Theresa Church.
Afterwards, and after grabbing lunch at a joint appropriately named “Tony’s”, we joined up again for more fun portraits on the beach, and then it was time for the reception.
There was lots of love under that tent, and to let you know what good sports Christine and Tony were — as it was a long day — they even remembered our suggestion for a sunset shot, which we were too happy to oblige.
What a day!
