We finally had the fun of being part of her day! Stacey and Jason had it all — lots of friends and family, frozen yogurt “cake”, a sunny beautiful

day and each other. After a beautiful ceremony (go, Pastor Pat!) they “cut” the yogurt cake and laughed with friends (ok, so Stacey was obliged

to take a few photos when all she wanted to do was enjoy time with her new husband and friends — thanks, Stacey

Then it was off to Scotts Seafood in Oakland’s Jack London Square. Perfect! Our best to the new bride and groom!!

Cardinalidae – a San Francisco Dance Company

We had the pleasure of working with a new to SF dance company — Cardinalidae.

Jessie Cosentino is the choreographer and company go-to person. She has assembled a fantastic group of dancers that are trying to change where we see dance. Keep your eyes out for where they will be performing!

Robin & Hugo’s San Francisco City Hall Wedding

Robin and Hugo (and their families) live quite a bit aways from the San Francisco Bay Area. Some time ago, Robin saw photos of a wedding at San Francisco’s City Hall and saw what an amazing venue it is.

Lucky us.

For last week, Robin and Hugo, with their families, made their way to where we call home. And even the weather cooperated! We captured their special day at City Hall and spent some time afterward at the Palace of Fine Arts and Baker Beach.

It was a pleasure meeting the both of you, and we wish you all the best in your future together. Cheers!

Stacey & Jason | Engagement Portraits | Albany Bulb

The Albany Bulb is a special place. It is a space that creates itself daily and offers us a chance to step out of the ordinary while being close to home. Stacey and Jason were up for something different for their engagement session.

We have known Stacey since Dave and I first started our photo partnership. We have always knows her to have the best energy and a fantastic smile. When we met Jason we knew why. He has that calm energy with a ready gaze and a warm smile. We had a blast with them as we wandered up hills and found art pieces to play with. We hope the images capture just a little of what makes them so special. Enjoy!

Jonah’s Family Portraits

We have had the pleasure of being Fred and Priscille’s friends for years. When Jonah was born we knew that we were going to have a lot of fun taking pictures (and yes, Luna will always be a part of the family portraits

We had a blast going to Golden Gate park and then to the studio. Luna was even well behaved! I am not sure how Fred got her to keep that hat on, but that is patience

Martin Luther King, Jr

Martin Luther King day is always a special time. It is a day to celebrate the life of one of the people that changed the
world and made it a little better. Last week’s San Francisco Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration was a powerful and important reminder of Dr. King’s lasting impact. Labor was there. Supervisors, Mayor Lee and Senator Mark Leno were also in attendance.
Most importantly the next generation was there to remember his legacy.

Ashley & Isaias’s Wedding | San Francisco City Hall | Baker Beach

ikoniAshley and Isaias met while working at the hospital. Sparks flew — and not just because Isaias is an EEG technician:)

We were lucky to be a part of their day.

They traveled up from the Palm Springs area to get married at the beautiful San Francisco City Hall, and although it was far from their home, friends and family were on hand to celebrate with them.

It was one of those perfect San Francisco winter days — clear and sunny with just a touch of crispness in the air. After a beautiful ceremony (Christmas tree and all) we wandered around City Hall.

From there we went to the Lower Haight and got some fun moments with some exceptional street art. After that we went to Baker Beach.

Did we already mention it was a beautiful day — well, you judge for yourself!

After that, they were off to the 49ers game (in which the playoff-bound ‘niners won, yes!)

We know they will have a lifetime of game nights together!

NDC 20th Anniversary Event Celebration

20 years can race by in the blink of an eye.

That is just what happened for NDC — and so what better to do than to throw their 20th anniversary party. And what a party it was!

It was held at the beautiful Monterey Bay Aquarium.

They had Taiko San Jose perform.

Delightful food and decadent desserts were to be had as well.

They also had a 20th anniversary orange carpet entry. Here are a few of our favorites!

Liv Family Portraits

Liv was in town! Liv also happens to be my niece

When my brother called and told me they were bringing her from distant New York City, I raced to Palo Alto to see them.

What I do also humbles me.

I am constantly reminded of how quickly life is racing by and how important it is to see, feel and be part of the journey with friends and family.

All I can say is that Liv brought all of that out and was the star of the shoot!

One of the great joys we have is seeing old friends as the years fly by. We had the pleasure of meeting Yodit and Ben over 5 years ago at their wedding. We have seen the wonderful changes that life has brought with little Nathaniel and now the delightful Soliana.
