Shirley and Ernie’s Engagement Portraits

For weeks, we have been trying to catch favorable weather, and finally, this past Sunday was the day for Shirley and Ernie’s Engagement Portraits, as their wedding is this Saturday! Talk about cutting it close.

We met up with them at the Bow and Arrow sculpture, and from there just walked along the waterfront as we discussed the final details of this coming Saturday.

It’s always fun to stroll along, being receptive to what inspiration may come simply by being observant.

Here are a few shots from the day:

Color always catches our eyes, and as we walked along the San Francisco Waterfront, we saw the alluring “azure” walls of Sinbad’s, so we had to get a few shots there.

Once we walked north of the Ferry Building, we saw what I’m guessing, is a vintage riverboat, Hornblower’s San Francisco Belle (wouldn’t a wedding there be cool?)

The light was falling, but it just so happens a sliver of sunshine lit up the boat, so we had to get this shot.

Shirley and Ernie were a pleasure to work with — they certainly have a great sense of humor, and we’re definitely looking forward to this weekend!
