Swing or Nothing Promo Shots

When fellow Lindy Hopper Nathan Dias called asking if we could do some promo shots for his performance group, Swing or Nothing, we knew it would be a fun romp!

Here are a few favorites from last week’s shoot at the 920 Special.

If you’re in search of a wedding DJ and/or wedding first dance instructor, definitely check out Nathan’s site: www.SwingorNothing.com

Katharina’s Pregnancy Portraits

Katharina called and wanted to capture this time before she went off to Germany.

What were we to say, but yes!

We knew that she and Poushan would be up for a fun shoot. We captured some classic images that showed the magic of the metamorphosis and then it was time to have fun!

From leaping to laughing Katharina and Poushan were up to the moment. We look forward to meeting Malayika and know that with her parents sense of humor, she will truly be a bundle of joy!

Beejay’s Headshots

Whenever we get the chance to do headshots with performers, we know we are going to have to pull out all the stops since they rarely sit still.

Beejay is a juggler extraordinaire and when he wanted us to take his headshots, we knew that we would be treated to a few tricks that would make our job more difficult…err fun, more fun!

Here are a few moments that we captured from the front, side and of course behind the back.

Thanks, Beejay! We look forward to when you are next in town and we get a chance to work with you on some location shots.

Cynthia & Mike’s Holiday Family Portraits

Three and a half years can pass in the blink of an eye.

Often, there are some changes in a person’s life in the span of three and a half years, and in Cynthia and Mike’s case, it was very noticeable.

You see, we had that pleasure of capturing their wedding in April of 2005.

Fast forward to 2008, and we got to meet the WHOLE family. All the kids have great personalities that are very developed.

We can see that Cynthia and Mike also have their hands full for the holidays. Our best to the whole family–thanks also for letting us be in on the holiday card!

Baby Otis and Family

Dave has worked with Maya and TIm on a number of DooF productions over the years, and he was pleasantly surprised to hear they recently had a new addition.

Of course, we had to have them in for a family portrait session.

Young Otis was such a cute bundle of baby-ness, quite big, with eyes that seemed to see right into you — although in truth he can’t really see that far yet!

In time, as he grows older, we’re sure he’ll look back on these photographs and recognize his budding power to melt away any onlooker’s resistance — he certainly did ours.

All we can say is, look out, girls!

It was a great family portrait session. Here are a few favorites:
