SF Gallery Opening Night Party

San Francisco Artist Consignment Store

This past Saturday saw the opening night of SF Gallery 143’s consignment store. The whole thing is the brainchild of Jessa Freeman (Gregory’s S.O.), who, for the last couple of years, has been meeting local artists and artisans at various events: dances, shows, exhibitions, etc.

Unique Art and Items

The idea for the store is to provide an outlet for local artists to showcase and sell their work. Here, you will find interesting and unique items, some of which are one-of-a-kind. There are also items that “re-purposes” old material. At the store, you’ll find a large selection of:

  • Jewelry
  • Clothing
  • Accessories
  • Also featured are Gregory’s art photos of dancers and circus performers

Benefit for Artists

You will also have a chance to meet the artists and artisans themselves: jewelers, clothing designers, dancers, musicians and performers will appear on special evening benefits, where 10% of all sales will go to the featured artist. All benefits are from 6 PM – 9 PM.

  • December 7th (Sunday) Danger Deluxxe and and Upright Basement Music featuring hits from their debut album
  • December 11th (Thursday) Nina Haft and Company – Raise support for their dance tour in the Middle East
  • December 12th (Friday) Folawole – Support a Performance Artist and Emerging Choreographer
  • December 14th (Sunday) Technique to Show – A Pre-Professional dance company by Denia Dance
  • December 19th (Friday) Sweet Can Productions – One night productions of circus, live music, and dance
  • December 20th (Saturday) Liss Fain Dance Company – Long time Local contemporary dance company

Store Hours

SF Gallery 143 will be open from December 6 – December 21, 2008.

  • Saturdays: 11 AM – 6 PM
  • Sundays: 12 PM – 6 PM
  • Tues-Fridays: 4 PM – 7 PM
  • SF Gallery 143 is closed on Mondays
  • Benefit evenings are from 6 PM – 9 PM (see schedule above)

So we hope you can come by to find unique gifts and support the local economy! Jessa will be updating her website (www.SFGallery143.com) with more items, but don’t miss the chance to come see all the great stuff in person!
