Jennifer and Adrian’s Engagement Portraits

Jennifer and Adrian are getting married later this summer, but before their big day, we had them out for an engagement session recently.

Jennifer’s parents had a photograph of themselves standing in front of the Ferry Building and the nearby fountain — and we were trying to duplicate the shot.

But wouldn’t you know it, the landscape has changed. A lot.

A big part of it was due to the ’89 earthquake, which damaged the Embacadero Freeway at the time, and which was subsequently torn down (good riddance!). Now, the area is quite picturesque, perfect for some engagement portraits.

We took a casual stroll, stopping at various locations that presented themselves. It’s always cool to find little hide-away spots like the office park, or to a location that a client suggests, such as the water fountain (which Adrian’s firm designed).

San Francisco presents a lot of interesting points for photos — no wonder there are so many tourists!

We’re looking forward to Jennifer and Adrian’s wedding in August, which will include a session at Dave’s alma mater — UC Berkeley — woohoo, go Bears!

Thanks, Jennifer and Adrian!
