Shirley and Ernie’s Wedding at Holy Name Church/New Asia

Last weekend, we finally got to shooting Shirley and Ernie’s Engagement Portraits. Good thing, since this past Saturday was their wedding!

Like the weekend before (and MUCH unlike today), beautiful sunshine was once again smiling down upon us — it was almost balmy there for a few hours. But just a few.

After a low-key preparation at a friend’s house, where we got shots of the wedding gown, shoes, accessories, and Shirley getting her hair and make-up done and a bunch of candids of her and her friends, we headed to the capacious Holy Name Church, right in the heart of San Francisco’s Sunset District for the ceremony.

Holy Name is a beautiful church, and we were witnesses to a touching ceremony.

After the family portraits, we headed out to the Legion of Honor for some cool, fun photos of the wedding party.

The Reception took place at the New Asia restaurant in San Francisco’s Chinatown — toasts, dancing, and a lot of eating ensued, and a good time was had by all.

Hi Joseph,

The new site looks great. I’ll be sure to drop Leon and Irina a line.

Thanks!
