Carol and Jon’s Wedding
Carol and Jon knew that a January wedding might have some “weather”involved.
Carol knew that she loved her rain boots and so when the storm of the year happened on Friday, she was ready!
Luckily, the Saturday of the wedding turned out to be a much more pleasant rainy day.
First Congregational Church of Berkeley
The Ceremony took place at the First Congregational Church of Berkeley - a church that I walked by everyday when I was attending UC Berkeley — no wonder it looked familiar! The venue is spacious and well-lit, plus the grounds outside make for perfect backdrops for photos, even in a downpour.
Inside, Carol and Jon’s friends and family radiated warmth galore, so even with the wet and rather frigid weather, you felt a heat wave around them.
Warriors Fans
What we love about weddings is how each couple always bring something unique about themselves into the mix, and Carol and Jon’s were no different. It turns out they’re huge Warriors fans, and the minister took it upon himself to come up with the best sports-analogy sermon of the year (yeah, I know it’s the first week of January, but so what?).
Scott’s Seafood Restaurant in Jack London Square
Soon after, everyone headed off to Jack London Square for their reception at Scott’s Seafood Restaurant. Amidst all the celebration: toasts, bouquet/garter toss, cake “munching”, and DANCING!, we were able to snag the happy couple for a few must-have shots out in the cold — what troopers!
We know they are off to a warm clime for their honeymoon, but we hope that their wedding will go down as the hottest day of the year
